Ross Estate is a comprehensive transformation that balances timeless architecture with modern livability. Designed by Polsky Perlstein Architects with interiors by Brad Krefman of BK Interiors, the project included the construction of a new 5,000-square-foot primary residence within the original footprint, alongside the full renovation of two existing wings.
The home blends classic shingle-style architecture with layered, highly detailed interiors. Features include hand-laid stonework, reclaimed oak curved trusses, walnut-paneled den and office spaces with integrated cabinetry, and a custom bar wrapped in hand-painted wallpaper. The kitchen anchors the home with steel-framed windows, a blackened steel hood, and an 87-inch professional range.
A defining aspect of the project was the finish carpentry, completed entirely by our in-house crew—an uncommon approach on a home of this scale, where this scope of work is often subcontracted to specialty finish firms. Managing the work internally allowed for tighter coordination across trades, greater consistency in execution, and significant cost savings for the client, while giving our highly skilled crew the opportunity to fully showcase their craftsmanship.
Integrated A/V and lighting systems support the home’s modern functionality while preserving the warmth and character of the architecture.
Recently featured in LUXE Interiors + Design, the project reflects a close collaboration between architect, designer, builder, and client—resulting in a home that feels both refined and enduring.
